The Kansas City Chiefs took care of business on Sunday night with a 41-21 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers to advance to the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs where they will meet a familiar foe: the Buffalo Bills.

This will mark the fourth time in the last 15 months that the two teams will meet, with the Chiefs holding a 2-1 edge over Buffalo.

Patrick Mahomes joined 610 KCSP’s “The Drive” on Monday and was asked about what appears to be a budding rivalry between the two teams.

“Yeah, I think there’s a sense of it,” Mahomes said. “They have great football players over there, obviously, starting with Josh [Allen]. He’ll be there a long time in Buffalo. I’m sure we’ll play a lot of games against each other. They’ll have a lot of great teams, coaches…I'm excited for it."

Allen is coming off his best playoff performance of his career yet — overcoming the frigid cold to throw for five touchdowns and 308 yards in a 47-17 win over the New England Patriots.

Allen and the Bills also got the best of the Chiefs earlier this year when he tossed three touchdowns in a 38-20 win at Arrowhead, where the rematch will be held on Sunday.

“I’ll watch [that game] a couple times,” Mahomes said. “I’ll watch that one, the other two games we played in the last year, pretty much. Try and get a sense of what they’re trying to do and different adjustments they’ve made in each game. And what they’ll try to do against us this time. They have a lot of good football players on that defense, on that entire team so it’ll be a great challenge for us and I’m excited for it.”
