In today’s third hour, Giordano invites Bradley Lanning onto the show, to discuss why he’s chosen to primary Representative Brian Fitzpatrick in the first district in the upcoming election. First, Lanning explains the concept and the mission of the America First Party, which has thrown their support behind Lanning. Lanning explains that America First is very self-explanatory, noting that the primary goal is to prioritize the needs of Americans. Giordano asks whether or not this is drawn from stances by the Trump administration, which Lanning affirms, further explaining which policies he’d hope to push for while in office. Lanning also tells why he’s running against Fitzpatrick, telling that for far too long, Fitzpatrick, in order to frame himself as a moderate, has voted against conservative causes. Then, Giordano asks about individual issues, gathering Lanning’s thoughts on the large infrastructure bill that Fitzpatrick voted for, arguing that while bipartisan is useful, his vote did not make much sense. Then, after playing Dom’s movie-themed Money Melody, Giordano welcomes Virginia Jorgensen to the show to discuss a rally today that she organized, focused on the heighted crime on the Temple campus. Jorgensen, who has a daughter at Temple, organized other parents to rally with her to try and bring some sense of safety back to the Temple campus, after another Temple student was murdered on campus last week. Jorgensen explains what the parents have spoken out about, focusing on the Temple and Philadelphia police, which urges Giordano to question why the court system nor Larry Krasner have been considered at fault for the heightened crime. Also, Jorgensen explains what change has already been enacted after working with the TUPD, and tells as a mother whether she’s comfortable with her daughter continuing attendance at the University.
