Bucks' miscues lead to loss in Game 1

Turnovers and missed free throws plague Milwaukee
Jimmy Butler plays above the rim in Game 1

The Milwaukee Bucks are no stranger to losses in Game 1 of a playoff series. They were down 1-0 to Boston in the second round a year ago in the 2019 NBA Playoffs and lost Game 1 in the first round in 2020 to Orlando. They'll be in this position again as 19 turnovers and 12 missed free throws doomed them to a 115-104 loss to the Miami Heat.

After a solid first quarter, the Bucks were largely stymied by the wall the Miami defense had built around the paint, limiting reigning MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo to just 18 points on just 12 shots.

Jimmy Butler was a terror down the stretch for Miami. He finished with 40 points on the night and looked every bit the player the Heat had in mind when they went and got him this prior offseason.

Game 2 is Wednesday night.
