The news Bucks fans have eagerly been waiting for is officially here: Giannis Antetokounpo will be signing a five year, $228.2 million supermax extension to stay in Milwaukee, first reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic:

Giannis quickly confirmed the report with a post of his own, calling Milwaukee his home, and expressing his happiness to be here another five years:

The deal will reportedly include an opt out after the fourth year of the deal, and means that the Bucks have guaranteed $256 million over the next six seasons to Giannis, making it the largest deal in NBA history.

The move removes all rumors of Giannis to Miami or Toronto or Golden State, and locks Giannis into a Bucks uniform until at least 2025.

Next up for the Bucks? Getting to the NBA Finals for the first time since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was a Buck.
