6 tart apples peeled, cored, and sliced – (video demonstrates this with apples that were not peeled, personal choice should be made).
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground nutmeg
