Meet Fred! At just 5 years old, Fred is ready to leave his past behind and start the life he has always deserved. Fred came to us through a transfer from PETA after being rescued from heartbreaking living conditions alongside many other hounds. Despite everything he has been through, this sweet boy still greets people with a wagging tail and a heart full of love. He is active, affectionate, and so ready to find a family to call his own. Fred is looking for an adult home or one with children ages 10 and up. He would also do best as the only pet so he can soak up all the love and attention for himself while he continues building his confidence. Fred is currently heartworm positive, but thanks to our friends at PETA, the cost of his treatment is fully covered. His adopter will simply need to bring him back to the VBSPCA Clinic for his scheduled treatments, and our team will walk you through every step of the process.
