Meet Fred! This active 5-year-old hound is on the search for his perfect family. Fred was part of a recent transfer from our friends at PETA after being found in very poor living conditions with many other hounds. Since Fred has never lived with children, we will require children in his future home to be 10 and up. Fred has been very selective about other canines and still needs some work with proper socialization, so at this time, we will require Fred to be the only pet in his new home. Fred is also heartworm positive, but not to worry—our friends at PETA will be covering the cost of his heartworm treatment. Adopters should be prepared to bring Fred back to the VBSPCA Clinic to complete his treatment. Our staff will be happy to discuss what this process looks like when you visit.
