Petty Officer 1st Class Michael Fite, a resident of Norfolk, Virginia, is playing a critical role in the U.S. Navy’s efforts to maintain a healthy and ready fighting force in the face of the Coronavirus pandemic.
As a master-at-arms serving with Transient Personnel Unit (TPU) at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, Bourque is one of the 139 service members assigned to Task Force Southeast - Jacksonville, the primary Department of Defense (DoD) support organization for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) response to COVID-19.
“I provide administrative and logistical support in providing the COVID vaccine to all members of our community, to ensure that essential medical care is available for both them and their families," said Fite.
