Angelina Jolie selling off $3 million gift from Brad Pitt

Angelia Jolie is unloading a multi-million dollar work of art given to her by Brad Pitt.

The Oscar-winning actress is selling at auction a painting created by Winston Churchill during World War II, which is expected to sell for $3.4 million at Christie’s, reported CNN.

Churchill initially painted the “Tower of the Koutoubia Mosque” in 1943 as a gift for President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The painting changed hands over the years before getting the attention of Pitt.

Pitt purchased the painting in 2011 from a high-end art dealer and gifted it to Jolie, the outlet noted.

The A-list couple separated in 2016 after two years of marriage and have since been embroiled in an ongoing divorce and custody battle.

Although it’s unclear why the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress is getting rid of the art work, it is officially being offered by the Jolie Family Collection, Christie’s said.

The auction is set for March 1st.
