Lady Gaga had a wildly successful night at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night, taking home numerous awards including the very first "Tricon Award."

On top of delivering a performance for the ages, Gaga stole the show with another set of iconic outfits and one eye-grabbing accessory that screamed 2020. The facemask.

Here’s the thing, each facemask Gaga wore fit perfectly with her outfit and would not look out of place at any past VMAs.

1 Bubble Babe

Mother Monster walked the socially distant VMAs red carpet in a space-aged gown. However, instead of wearing a mask Lady Gaga opted for a personal bubble headdress instead.

2 Chromatica Queen

As Gaga accepted her first award of the evening, viewers were also delighted with a whimsical outfit change from the queen of the avant-garde. The Bjork-inspired look also featured a pink gas mask that seems to fit perfectly with the world of Chromatica.

3 Green Mama Monster

Just when we thought Gaga’s masks couldn’t get any more inventive the fashion legend served us with a kelly green gown and a freakish tentacle mask. If Gaga can make masks fun you can too.

4 The Masked Duo

During their epic performance of “Rain On Me,” both Lady Gaga and Ariana were masked. Gaga’s digitized Chromatica mask depicted waveforms as the words from the hit song poured out of her mouth.

5 Masked Angel

As she stepped out on stage to receive the award for 'Best Pop Video' for “Rain On Me”, Lady Gaga dazzled us all in an angelic, feathery, and glittery haze. Of course, her fifth mask of the evening also matched the look.

6 Queen of the Mask

For her sixth and final look of the evening, Lady Gaga kept it regal as she humbly accepted the first-ever VMAs “Tricon” award. The all-silver look oozed with beauty and grace.
