Britney Spears appeared to be doing some damage control over the weekend after her fans banned together to drown out ex, Justin Timberlake’s new song on the music charts.

Spears took to her private Instagram page to praise Timberlake’s new song, “Selfish,” after her loyal army of fans skyrocketed her song of the same name from 2011 to the top of the U.S. iTunes chart in order to lessen the impact of Timberlake’s.
“I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish,’” she wrote below a video of Timberlake performing on the song with Jimmy Fallon on a segment called “Classroom Instruments.”
“It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ???”
Spears also used the opportunity to apologize to anyone she “offended” with the stories she shared in her memoir, The Woman In Me.
Doesn’t seem like a coincidence that the apology was in a post about Justin as she revealed several secrets about their past relationship in the book, while also revealing she got pregnant with his child, but had an abortion.
“I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book,” Spears wrote. “If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry.”
