Since breaking the internet and flooding Jeni’s scoop shops with the release of her own ice cream flavor on April 8, Dolly Parton is still experiencing a wealth of support from fans who are eager to experience her limited edition strawberry pretzel pie ice cream.

As Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams works to relaunch online availability after a website crash on the release date,  the product has been spotted on Ebay selling for prices ranging from $35 to a whopping $1,000. The cost is steep compared to the $12 Jeni’s charges for a standard pint of their handcrafted ice cream.

Jeni’s recently provided an update for customers on their website in regards to the online relaunch of the limited edition flavor. “We have been working around the clock so that we can confidently drop the flavor… but we aren’t there yet. As promised, we’ll give 48-hour notice via email and social media before we release the flavor, but we wanted to let you know that it won’t be this weekend. Thank you, again, for your patience!”

In true Dolly style, proceeds from pints purchased through Jeni’s will benefit her Imagination Library, a charity launched by Parton in 1995 that provides children a new, age-appropriate book each month. The efforts started in Parton’s home County in East Tennessee and has since expanded internationally and now sends over one million books per month to children in need all over the world.
