In a dictionary definition example of shooting your shot, Texas teen Miya Garcia purchased a billboard (well, her mother did) on I-10 in Houston inviting Drake to attend her Sweet Sixteen party this December in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Making her birthday wish before blowing out the candles, the 15-year old Garcia expressed to a local a local Fox affiliate that the thing she wanted most for her birthday was for Drake to attend. "I love his music, I love his style. He's really inspiring," Garcia told a local Fox affiliate.
"Drake, you're invited to my Sweet Sixteen," read the billboard, that features an image of Miya on the left side and one of Drake on the left. The invite, which also includes Ramirez’s TikTok and Instagram usernames, and signed from "your biggest fan.”
“She wanted to invite her absolute favorite person to her Sweet 16,” Miya’s mother Sonia Ramirez told PEOPLE, sharing that her daughter came up with the idea after learning the rapper mentioned that he had purchased a home in the area, during his concert there last month.
While the teen has yet to receive a response from Drizzy on whether or not he’ll attend the event, thanks to some local news coverage, now turned viral recognition, she might get Drake’s attention attention after all. Whether he accepts the invite, that’s another matter entirely.
