Next week, the band is set to have the first song ever broadcast from the moon with their track, “Children Of The Sky.” The song was recorded alongside LA Film Orchestra and legendary video games composer Inon Zur and used in the game, Starfield.

According to reports, Lonestar space tech company is set to launch a rocket from Kennedy Space Center to land a data center on the Moon on February 26. Upon a successful landing, the data center will transmit the song back to Earth.

“Our goal is to inspire the next generation of kids to be excited about the future of space and technology, which is why we chose ‘Children Of The Sky’ as the first song in history to be broadcast from the moon,” said Lonestar investor Ryan Micheletti in a press statement.

The band has not commented on the special space mission yet, but it lines up nicely with the 10-year anniversary of their album, Smoke and Mirrors, which they celebrated on February 18.
