The music legend and retired Philadelphia Eagles center joined forces for a cover of Ron Sexsmith’s “Maybe This Christmas,” the latest holiday hymns from the Kelce-led Philly Specials album A Philly Special Christmas Party, out November 22.
“Maybe this Christmas will mean something more / Maybe this year love will appear/Deeper than ever before,” Kelce and Nicks sing on the Americana-influenced duet, “And maybe forgiveness will ask us to call/Someone we love, someone we’ve lost / For reasons we can’t quite recall / Maybe this Christmas. Less interested in the material things the holiday season brings, but rather more about forgiveness, hope, and gratitude."
“There are no words to describe how incredible it is to have Stevie Nicks on this record,” the album’s executive producer Conner Barwin shared in a statement. “There is so much emotion in this song, and it was thrilling to be with them in the studio and watch her and Jason connect, be creative together, and witness this beautiful song become a reality.”
Proceeds from the album’s vinyl sales will go to support Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s Holiday Toy Drive, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Snowflake Station, and 87 and Running Foundation, in a addition to a number of other Philadelphia based organizations.
