The pop icon took to Facebook and Instagram to share how "love from family and friends is the best medicine." Being one month out of the hospital has given her time to properly "reflect" she says.

"As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving……….. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference," she wrote.

Thanking her friends she explained a gift given to her by her long-time manager, Guy Oseary. "If you zoom into this Picture I am holding You will see A Polaroid taken by Andy Warhol of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it. A perfect triangle of Brilliance." She said she "sobbed" when she opened the gift because these are "Artist who touched so many lives including my own" and because it made her realize "how lucky I am to be alive. And how fortunate I am to have known these people and so many others who are also gone," she said.

Madonna was originally scheduled to kick off her Celebration global tour in Vancouver on July 15 but Guy announced she was in the ICU for several days on June 28.

The tour is scheduled to commence October 14 with four nights at the O2 Arena in London for the UK leg of the tour.
