Sofia Vergara is ready for a scorching summer.
The 49-year-old actress put up a sizzling sideshow of shots showing off her Dolce & Gabbana leopard print one-piece swimsuit. She paired it with awesome, big black Foster Grant sunglasses, which she definitely needed as the sun was blazing on her sultry poses.
Fittingly, the “America’s Got Talent” star captioned the post, “Finally the weekend!! Solecito.” Solecito translates as “lovely sunshine." She added the hashtag "#GettingReadyForSummer."
Vergara's post garnered an endless array of fire emojis from fans, while some more famous friends chimed in on the comments too. Her former “Modern Family” costar, Sarah Hyland, gasped, "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!??" While model Charlotte McKinney added, "Unreal.”
Vergara had added a since-gone Instagram Story too, featuring the same swimsuit, as she lounged next to a pool with her dog Bubbles.
As People reminded, Vergara worked with Foster Grant back in 2020 when she designed a pair of sunglasses for the classic shades maker. She curated a design of reading glasses, sunglasses, and SunReaders.
Her concept behind designing them circled around the fact that she herself was starting to have some seeing problems, as happens with age, but was worried about looking "old." Um, we’re pretty sure that’s not a possibility for Vergara.
"When I turned 40, 41, 42,” she said to People, “I started losing my sight. It's the normal thing that happens at that age. I refused to wear glasses because I felt old. I was like, 'No, I'm going to hold it. I don't need them. I don't need them.'"
But when her son Manolo convinced her that her constant squinting and scrunching down into a double-chin when reading her phone made her look older than any glasses could, she worked with Foster Grant to create stylish glasses, as she discovered she “couldn't find really cute, affordable ones.”
"We're going to have to use them no matter what at this age," said Vergara, "so at least use something that makes you look cute, not like you're the little grandma."
