As you might or might not already know, the Amazon Prime miniseries, just like the novel, is partly inspired by the story of Fleetwood Mac. Chronicling the personal and career highs and lows, magical moments, bitter arguments, and behind-the-scenes tension of an enormously successful fictional 1970s rock band.
It’s no secret that in the 1970s, Fleetwood Mac channeled their epic band drama into the creation of their iconic album Rumours. Similar to the real thing, Daisy Jones & the Six also made an incredible album inspired by their personal relationships.
Taking to Instagram to share her thoughts on the 10-episode miniseries, she admittedly just finished watching for the second time, Stevie had some high praise to share. “Just finished watching @daisyjonesand6 for the 2nd time. In the beginning, it wasn't really my story, but Riley seamlessly, soon became my story,” the singer said of the show and lead actress Riley Keough, who portrayed the titular Daisy, who shares a undeniable yet toxic love with The Six frontman, Billy Dunne, play by Sam Claflin.
“It brought back memories that made me feel like a ghost watching my own story,” she continued. “It was very emotional for me. I just wish Christine could have seen it. She would have loved it.” Before concluding with wishful thinking that, “Hopefully it will continue…”
Some of the show's stars, as well as producer Reese Witherspoon responded to Stevie’s post expressing their thrill and honor for her love of the show. "Oh my stars, Stevie !! ✨" Witherspoon wrote. ”This means the world to the whole @daisyjonesandthesix team! Thank YOU for cutting the path!”
Riley also commented with a series of emojis, ”😍😍😍😱😱😱😱😱🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏." And her costar Camila Morrone, who plays Billy's wife Camila, followed suit, posting a series of heart emojis as well.
