The Chiefs have technically broken camp for the summer, with a little over a month before training camp begins in late July. After a week of mini-camp, there were more than a couple insights worth chewing on for the next few weeks. Speaking to 610's Fescoe In The Morning, Chiefs Insider and Arrowhead Pride Editor-In-Chief Pete Sweeney revealed what, to him, was the most surprising part of the spring workouts.
"I'll tell you though, I was surprised to hear the first time around that they were calling out plays and trying to get terminology down," he said. "That's further than what I thought it would have been. I thought it might have been Patrick Mahomes calling out a route and these guys just running it, but apparently they get into the bones of this offense. And that's exactly what you want to hear ... They're doing stuff that the don't necessarily have to do. To me, that just shows you how much they do care."
