(610 Sports) -- The Chiefs’ opponents for next season were finalized with the end of the NFL regular season Sunday and the Chiefs will play the NFC East and AFC North in 2021.
The 2021 NFL schedule won’t officially be revealed until sometime in April, so we don’t have all the details on dates, times, and when the games will be played yet. However, now that the winner of the AFC South has been determined, the Chiefs’ opponents for next year are officially set.
The Chiefs will host the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Steelers, Browns, Bills, Cowboys, and Giants at Arrowhead Stadium in 2021. They will visit the Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Ravens, Bengals, Washington Football Team, Eagles, and Titans as well, next season.
The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to add a 17th regular-season game to help offset the losses from the COVID-19-altered 2020 NFL season. The Chiefs would reportedly play the No. 1 ranked team in the NFC North from the 2020 season, meaning Kansas City will go up against the Green Bay Packers at some point during the 2021 season. It’s not yet clear whether this will be a home or away game or how that issue will be determined.
The Chiefs have secured the #1 overall seed in the AFC heading into the playoffs, meaning they will have a bye in the first round and will face the winner of the #4 Tennessee vs #5 Baltimore first-round matchup.
