Head coach Andy Reid announced on Tuesday that Travis Kelce hyper-extended his knee during practice and his status is “uncertain” for the opener in two days.

Reid did not have much else to offer other than that it was being “looked at now and we’ll see how it goes.”

Later on Tuesday, Adam Schefter reported that Kelce's ACL is intact and they will test it again Wednesday to determine his availability.

Kelce has not missed a game due to injury (he missed due to COVID) since 2013.

In addition to Kelce, the Chiefs will also be without star defensive lineman Chris Jones as he remains away from the team amid a contract dispute.
