(Kansas City) – Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is questionable to return against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night, according to the team.

Edwards-Helaire suffered what appeared to be an ankle injury during the first quarter and the team has deemed him questionable to return to action this evening. Isaiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon should share backfield duties the rest of the contest.

Edwards-Helaire was spotted on the table getting worked on by training staff and the team wasted no time labeling him questionable to return to the game with an ankle injury. He was also later shown on the broadcast limping heavily into the tunnel for imaging on his injured ankle.

On the night, Edwards-Helaire had two carries for 9 yards, before walking off the field gingerly.
