(610 Sports) – JuJu Smith-Schuster's return from a concussion was off to a good start on Sunday in Cincinnati. He had been targeted four times early in the game and had 3 receptions for 45 yards before taking a shot to the head, fighting for a first-down.
Because of Smith-Schuster's concussion history, he was taken to the blue medical tent for an evaluation.
Smith-Schuster was alert and appeared to fine as he was taking an initial evaluation, although he took himself out of the game immediately following the play. There hasn't been an update on his status to this point, so it's yet to be seen if he will be returning to action against the Bengals.
If Smith-Schuster is unable to return, expect to see more Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore involved in the passing game. The Chiefs have been relatively quiet through the air in the first-half, se expect Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes to open things up in after halftime.
Smith-Schuster came out fo the medical tent and returned to the sideline with his helmet on, eventually re-entering the game.
