Throughout the week-long lead up to Sunday night's game between the Buccaneers and the Chiefs, there were some players in Tampa Bay talking trash about the Chiefs' offense. Bulletin board material never fails to be a favorite topic of football media, although according to Chiefs' QB Patrick Mahomes, news of that chatter did reach the team's locker room. Speaking with 610's The Drive on Monday morning, Mahomes explained how he first heard about what the Bucs were saying, and how it affected the game.
"Yeah, we definitely heard it," he said. "I actually didn't hear it for the first time until the media told me. I thought it was surprising, just because I know our team and I know how much we've improved the last few years. Whenever you get that kind of material, especially when you're playing down there with the O-line, it gets guys motivated to go out there and really show their dominance."
