Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Excited about being asked to do 'more things' with Chiefs

During the first four years of his career Marquez Valdes-Scantling carved out a nice role for himself with the Green Bay Packers. He tallied at least 400 receiving yards in each of those seasons, always averaged over 15 yards per reception, and had nine touchdowns in the past two seasons – as opposed to four in his first two. Now, as a member of the Chiefs' new-look wide receiver room, MVS will be asked to do a little more than he was in Green Bay, something he told 610's Cody and Gold he was excited about.

"Just opportunity. That's the word," he said. "When I was in Green Bay, we were very successful. And what my role was there, I took advantage of that and made it happen, which is why I'm here now. I think that just a bigger role, per se, not necessarily playing time or anything of that nature, but just more-so not being limited in all the things I can or can't do. No shots at Green Bay, I love that place. Like I said, we won a lot of games. What I was asked to do, I did very well. And we were very successful with me doing that specific role. So now here in Kansas, I'm asked to do a little bit more things, and I'm excited about it."
