One of the biggest storylines around all the Spring Training camps this year has been, so far, the implementation of a new pitch clock. We've already several batters get called for violating the new rules, including one infraction that ended a game in a tie. Opinions about the clock have been split so far, but while speaking to 610's Fescoe In The Morning on Monday, Royals Insider Josh Vernier explained how some of that talk has been overblown.

"When you're at the game, I've really yet to notice it," he said. "But I was also never a guy complaining about how a game is too long ... When you're at the game, you're leaving the stadium going, 'oh my god, it's only 4:30, and the game started at 2.' So I don't really understand what baseball thinks is going to come from this. Again, I have no issue with it. It'll be great for me - I'll be home a lot earlier. I don't know how much the owners are going to like it."
