Chris Jones inactive for Chiefs-Chargers on TNF

(610 Sports) – The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Los Angeles Chargers without defensive tackle Chris Jones, who remains on the team’s COVID reserve list.

Leading up to Thursday night's contest with the AFC West rivals Chargers, Jones was officially placed on the list on Tuesday, making it uncertain if he would be available for Thursday's game. If vaccinated, both Jones and wide receiver Josh Gordon would have been able to return to the active roster in time to play with two negative tests taken 24 hours apart.

Gordon, who scored his first touchdown in a Chiefs' uniform on Sunday, is officially active and looks ready to go against Los Angeles. As for Jones, he remains on the list just hours before kickoff and will be among the missing defensive players for the Chiefs against the Chargers' potent offense.
