Trubisky's recovery timeline is expected to be a couple months, ESPN reported. He suffered the injury when he took a hit during the Bears' win over the Vikings on Sept. 29.
The Bears declined to offer details on Trubisky's status.
"There’s a potential he could," general manager Ryan Pace said during the season-ending press conference Dec. 31. "We’re just going through that.”
Trubisky missed one start after suffering his injury. He completed 63.2 percent of his passes for 3,138 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 15 starts in 2019.
With free agency looming in March, Trubisky is currently the lone quarterback under contract for the Bears.
