Burton could be a game-time decision, as he was before missing the Bears' season-opening loss to the Packers. He suffered the groin injury during a preseason practice about two weeks ago.
The 27-year-old Burton had 54 catches for 569 yards and six touchdowns over 16 regular-season games in 2018 but then missed the Bears' playoff loss to the Eagles due to a groin injury. He underwent surgery to repair a sports hernia in the spring and was held out for the first weeks of training camp while recovering from that procedure and regaining his game shape.
Goldman experienced his oblique injury during practice Wednesday afternoon. He was held out of practice Thursday before working in a limited fashion Friday. The 25-year-old Goldman has 11.5 sacks over his five seasons with the Bears, primarily playing the role of nose tackle. The 2018 campaign was the first for Goldman in which he didn't miss a game.
The Bears also listed defensive lineman Bilal Nichols (knee) and linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (knee) as questionable. They were each limited in practice Friday. Nichols has been a limited participant in each Friday practice as a matter of maintenance for his knee. His place on the injury report is merely a technicality.
The Broncos listed cornerback Bryce Callahan (foot) and linebacker Todd Davis (ankle) as questionable.
Kickoff between the Bears (0-1) and Broncos (0-1) comes at 3:25 p.m. CT from Empower Field in Denver.
