Patterson is the first Bears player to earn this honor since Devin Hester in October 2011. Patterson also won this award in September 2013 as a member of the Vikings.
The recognition for Patterson comes after he returned 10 kickoffs for 294 yards over five games in November. He also recorded four tackles as a gunner on the Bears' punt coverage.
Signed to the Bears in March, Patterson ranks first in the NFC and second in the NFL in averaging 30.9 yards per kick return in 2019.
The Bears (6-6) open December play by hosting the Cowboys (6-6) at Soldier Field on Thursday evening. Kickoff is set for 7:20 p.m.
