Bears' Eddie Goldman Managing Oblique Issue

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears nose tackle Eddie Goldman has appeared on the team's injury report with an oblique issue.

Coach Matt Nagy downplayed the injury for Goldman, which occurred during practice at Halas Hall on Wednesday. His status for Chicago's game at Denver on Sunday will be revealed with the final injury report Friday afternoon.

"We’ll keep an eye on that," Nagy said before practice Thursday. "I think he’s going to be OK, but we’ll just kind of see how that goes and see how he is."

Goldman played his first 16-game regular season in 2018. Now in his fifth season, he has 11.5 career sacks primarily out of the nose tackle position.

The Bears are also still monitoring tight end Trey Burton, who's day-to-day with a groin injury.

"Some days I feel really good, some days I don't feel good at all," Burton said. "It's been a very humbling process."
