LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears officially placed right guard Kyle Long on injured reserve due to a hip injury, the team announced Monday.

Defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson was signed to the active roster in a corresponding move. Tight end Dax Raymond was signed to the practice squad.

Long, 30, started four games this season but has been dealing with the hip injury since September. He missed the Bears' game on Sept. 29 as a result of the injury. He has landed on injured reserve in each of the last four seasons.

By signing Anderson to the active roster, the Bears added to their defensive line depth while Akiem Hicks is sidelined with an elbow injury. The team may avoid placing Hicks on injured reserve.

The Bears are practicing Monday, and Coach Matt Nagy will speak to the media in the afternoon after the team finishes its work.
