Each draft selection signed a four-year contract: Notre Dame tight end Cole Kmet (second round), Utah cornerback Jaylon Johnson (second round), Tulsa outside linebacker Trevis Gipson (fourth round), Georgia Southern cornerback Kindle Vildor (fifth round), Tulane receiver Darnell Mooney (fifth round), Colorado tackle Arlington Hambright (seventh round) and Tennessee State tackle Lachavious Simmons (seventh round).
The seven players arrived at Halas Hall for the first time since being drafted by the Bears, as the offseason program was conducted virtually during the coronavirus pandemic.
Without an agreement in place between the NFL and players' association, it's unclear when teams will first take the field for practice. The Bears' veterans are expected to report to Halas Hall next Tuesday.
Chicago opens the regular season at Detroit on Sept. 13.
