(670 The Score) Safety Deon Bush has reached an agreement to return to the Bears on a one-year, $1.4-million deal, a source confirmed Friday morning. Adam Schefter of ESPN first reported the news.

Bush, 26, was a fourth-round pick of the Bears in 2016. He has played in 54 games over four seasons, starting in eight contests.

Bush is positioned to be the Bears' starting strong safety alongside Pro Bowl free safety Eddie Jackson. The Bears had a void at safety after veteran Ha Ha Clinton-Dix agreed to a one-year deal with the Cowboys late Thursday night.

The Bears haven't yet made the agreement with Bush official. It could be delayed as the team awaits the execution of the contract with a physical.
