LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — In searching to strengthen their defensive line, the Bears have struck another trade.
The Bears on Saturday acquired defensive tackle Chris Williams from the Browns in a deal that included a swap of late-round picks. Chicago will send a sixth-round selection (via Miami) in 2025 to Cleveland in exchange for a seventh-round slot in 2025.
Williams, 26, has played in 13 career NFL games. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Colts in 2020, working under then-defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, who's now the Bears' head coach.
The sixth-round pick that the Bears sent to the Browns was acquired last October from the Dolphins in a trade involving receiver Chase Claypool.
The Bears also made a trade Friday, landing pass rusher Darrell Taylor from the Seahawks in exchange for a sixth-round pick.
