(670 The Score) The Bears have added eight new members to their football operations staff, they announced Tuesday morning.
Headlining the additions are three scouts joining general manager Ryan Poles’ staff: Reese Hicks as a West Coast area scout, Tom Bradway as a Northeast area scout and Ryan Cavanaugh as a Midwest area scout.
Hicks worked for the Falcons as a pro scout for the past four seasons. Bradway was previously a scout for the Raiders. Cavanaugh has 20 years of NFL scouting experience, including working for the Texans from 2009-’20.
He was the college scouting coordinator at Ohio State University in 2021.
In the high-performance department, the Bears have hired Blair Hitchcock as their director of sports nutrition and AJ Lamb as a sports scientist.
Chicago also has hired Krithi Chandrakasan as its director of football analytics, Ryan Hubley as a football systems developer and Sean Magee as coach Matt Eberflus’ chief of staff.
Chandrakasan most recently was the Chiefs’ senior data scientist. Chandrakasan worked in Kansas City for the past three seasons, overlapping with Poles' tenure there.
