(670 The Score) Pass rusher Dayo Odeyingbo has agreed to a three-year deal with the Bears, according to reports Monday. The contract is worth up to $48 million and includes $32 million guaranteed, NFL Network reported.
Odeyingbo, 25, had 16.5 sacks for the Colts across the past four seasons after Indianapolis selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He mostly played in a rotational role in his first three seasons before making 14 starts and playing all 17 games in 2024, when he had three sacks and 42 quarterback pressures.
The Bears' deal with Odeyingbo addresses a key pass rushing need, and he’s slated to work opposite of Chicago defensive end Montez Sweat.
The Bears had 40 sacks in 17 games last season, a figure that ranked 16th in the NFL. Sweat led them with 5.5 sacks.
Odeyingbo’s deal can’t become official until Wednesday at 3 p.m., when the new league year begins. Earlier Monday, the Bears made another big move by agreeing with center Drew Dalman on a three-year contract worth up to $42 million.
