Matt Eberflus calls Rome Odunze 'day-to-day' with MCL sprain, rules out a serious injury for him

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) – Bears rookie receiver Rome Odunze and veteran receiver Keenan Allen will both sit out of practice Wednesday as they deal with injuries.

Odunze is “day-to-day” with an MCL sprain in his knee, head coach Matt Eberflus said. Odunze suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 24-17 win against the Titans on Sunday. The Bears have ruled out a long-term absence for Odunze, who had one catch for 11 yards in the season opener.

“We’re in a good spot,” Eberflus said. "It’s nothing serious.”

Allen is dealing with a heel injury. He hauled in four receptions for 29 yards Sunday.

Bears pass rusher DeMarcus Walker (foot) also did not practice. Guard Ryan Bates (shoulder/elbow), defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin), tackle Kiran Amegadjie (quad) and Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) were limited in their work.

The Bears (1-0) will visit the Houston Texans (1-0) on Sunday night.
