LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears officially released 11 players on Monday, continuing to cut their roster to the 53-man limit.
The Bears waived cornerback Millard Bradford, defensive lineman Xavier Carlton, cornerback Alex Cook, linebacker Power Echols, cornerback Kaleb Hayes, quarterback Austin Reed, running back Ian Wheeler and tight end Joel Wilson. The team officially released veteran cornerback Tre Flowers, running back Royce Freeman and tackle Joshua Miles.
The Bears also placed rookie cornerback Zah Frazier on the non-football injury list.
The Bears began trimming their roster Sunday with six players waived: linebacker Swayze Bozeman, guard Chris Glaser, tight end Thomas Gordon, cornerback Mark Perry, wide receiver Samori Toure and cornerback Jeremiah Walker. The team officially placed cornerback Terell Smith (knee) on injured reserve.
With 17 roster moves made, the Bears currently stand at 73 players.
Rosters must reach the initial 53-man limit by Tuesday at 3 p.m. CT, with waiver claims due Wednesday at noon.
