David Montgomery has become one of Bears' best offensive players, even if he won't admit it

Montgomery picked up where he left off from a strong 2020, rushing for 108 yards Sunday.

(670 The Score) Underrated by his peers and under-utilized by his coach, it'd be hard to blame Bears running back David Montgomery if he wanted a bigger role in the team's offense.

There's clearly a good case for it: Rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown on that Rams defense in a season-opening loss Sunday looks impressive even before you realize he did it on 16 carries. It was a strong start, quite literally, for someone who quietly finished fifth in the NFL in rushing yards in 2020.
