(670 The Score) Bears great Devin Hester on Tuesday was named one of the 28 semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2023.
Hester is the NFL's all-time leader in return touchdowns with 20, including 14 punt return touchdowns. He played eight of his 11 NFL seasons with Chicago, recording all but one of his return touchdowns for for the Bears. Hester was a Hall of Fame finalist in 2022 but wasn't selected for induction.
Former Bears pass rusher Jared Allen is also a semifinalist for the Hall of Fame's class of 2022. He played 18 games with Chicago from 2014-'15. Former Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who was a nominee for this class, wasn't selected as a semifinalist.
Finalists for the Hall of Fame will be selected in December. The class of 2023 will be selected in advance of the Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona in February.
