Bears hire Jon Hoke as cornerbacks/passing game coordinator in a series of staff changes


(670 The Score) The Bears have hired Jon Hoke as their new cornerbacks coach/passing game coordinator in a series of staff adjustments that they announced Wednesday afternoon.

Hoke spent the last two years with the Falcons as their secondary coach. He was with the Bears for six years from 2009-'14 as defensive backs coach. Hoke has worked 42 years in coaching, including 18 in the NFL.

The Bears also hired Zach Cable as an offensive quality control coach, Isaiah Harris as player engagement/strength & conditioning coach and Pierre Ngo as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

The Bears promoted Omar Young to assistant quarterbacks and wide receivers coach and Carla Suber to director of wellness.

The Bears lost former defensive backs coach James Rowe this offseason to his alma mater South Florida, where he was hired as the defensive pass game coordinator and safeties coach.
