(670 The Score) The Bears and Packers will renew their rivalry in their regular-season opener on Sept. 10 at Soldier Field, but Chicago veteran defensive lineman Justin Jones sounds like he’s ready to play now.

On Tuesday at Halas Hall, Jones didn’t hold back when discussing the Packers and their fans.

“Their fans are really s****y,” Jones said. “So yeah, I wanted to go back up there and I wanted to play them and I wanted to beat them and I wanted (former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers) to be there so he could see it. But the fact that he is gone, I mean, it's cool. I guess it's better for him not to be here. But yeah, I'm ready to take it over. I mean, it's a good time to be a Bears fan. I'm not even going to lie to you.”

Jones continued to expand on his thoughts of Packers fans.

“Man, just the way they're just frickin’ obnoxious, just yelling and all that other stuff about things that don't even matter,” Jones said. “Like, we're not even running a play, you guys are talking about boo, oh yeah, go green, like what are you even talking about? The game hasn't even started yet, like what are we talking about here? Whatever bro. Half of them don't even know football. It's so weird to me. But I'm just ready to be back out there and play and I want to go out there and I want to beat the hell out of them on their field and I want to hear the boos then. That's what I look forward to.”

Jones, 26, played his first season with the Bears in 2022, during which Chicago went an NFL-worst 3-14 and suffered a pair of losses to Green Bay.

The Bears open the regular season by hosting the Packers. Jones and the Bears will then return to Lambeau Field for the finale in Week 18.
