LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- The Bears have lost another offensive lineman to injury early in training camp.

Bears guard James Daniels was held out of practice Thursday due to a quad injury that he suffered Tuesday during the team's practice at Soldier Field, coach Matt Nagy said.

Daniels, who played just five games in the 2020 season due to a season-ending pectoral tear, was present at practice Thursday morning at Halas Hall but wasn't participating. Daniels is entering his fourth NFL season and has played in 37 career games, starting 31. Nagy didn't offer a timeline for his return.

Daniels, 23, is projected to be the Bears' starting right guard. Without him, the offensive line is currently down three projected starters. Tackles Teven Jenkins (back) and Germain Ifedi (hip flexor) also have been sidelined from practice.

"What a great time for people to know there's opportunities," Nagy said of the injuries early in camp.

The Bears on Thursday also practiced without outside linebacker Robert Quinn (back), safety Tashaun Gipson (groin), cornerback Artie Burns (quad), cornerback Michael Joseph (hamstring), tackle Badara Traore (knee) and linebacker Josh Woods (quad).

Safety Eddie Jackson (hamstring) remains on the non-football injury list, while Ifedi is on the physically-unable-to-perform list.

The Bears will hold three straight practices in full pads beginning Friday at Halas Hall.
