Lucas Patrick exits early with apparent injury, while Teven Jenkins is absent from Bears practice

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears veteran center Lucas Patrick left practice Thursday with an apparent injury, while second-year offensive tackle Teven Jenkins wasn't present as the team conducted its work.

Patrick walked off the practice field under his own power alongside team trainers before being taken away for further evaluation. It wasn't immediately clear what his injury was. Bears coach Matt Eberflus isn't scheduled to address reporters Thursday, and offensive coordinator Luke Getsy said he was unaware of Patrick's status.

Jenkins was present for practice Wednesday as the Bears opened training camp. Details regarding his absence weren't immediately made available by the team.

A second-round pick in 2021, Jenkins has fallen into a reserve role on the Bears' offensive line. The Bears take the practice field again Friday. They will hold their first full-contact practice Monday morning.
