Bears place 2 more players on COVID-19 reserve list

Safety Deon Bush and tackle Lachavious Simmons were added to COVID-19 reserve.

(670 The Score) The Bears are up to four players on the COVID-19 reserve list after adding safety Deon Bush and tackle Lachavious Simmons to the list.

It's not clear whether Bush and/or Simmons tested positive for COVID-19 or were deemed to be a close contact of someone who did. Simmons traveled with the Bears to Tennessee before being placed on the COVID-19 reserve list Sunday morning, just hours prior to kickoff against the Titans.

The Bears had two players who tested positive for the virus in the past week in center Cody Whitehair and tackle Jason Spriggs.

The Bears' inactives for Sunday were quarterback Mitchell Trubisky (shoulder), center Sam Mustipher (knee), nose tackle John Jenkins (ankle), defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris (shoulder) and outside linebacker Trevis Gipson. Rookie tight end Cole Kmet is active after dealing with a groin injury.

Bears second-year receiver Riley Ridley will be active for the first time this season after being a healthy scratch in each of the team's first eight games.

The Titans ruled out star pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney and receiver Adam Humphries.

Kickoff between the Bears (5-3) and Titans (5-2) comes Sunday at noon CT from Nissan Stadium.
