(670 The Score) The Bears have placed receiver Dante Pettis on injured reserve, the team announced Friday.
Because Pettis was placed on injured reserve prior to the 53-man roster cutdown, he’s ineligible to return this season. The Bears haven't revealed what Pettis' injury was.
Pettis, 27, had been projected to be a depth piece at receiver and was in the mix to return punts. He Pettis had 19 catches for 245 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games in 2022.
In another move Friday, the Bears also waived receiver Joe Reed with an injury designation.
