Fields missed Chicago's win at Seattle on Sunday due to an ankle injury. He suffered the injury during a game Dec. 20 at Soldier Field.

Meanwhile, Bears veteran quarterback Andy Dalton returned to practice as a full participant Wednesday. He missed Sunday's game due to a groin injury. Third-string quarterback Nick Foles started and rallied the Bears to a 25-24 comeback win. It remains unclear who will start for the Bears when they host the Giants this Sunday.

"Health will always dictate where they're at and how they go," Nagy said. "So, we'll monitor that. They're both improving, which is good."

Bears rookie offensive tackle Teven Jenkins (shoulder) practiced in full while veteran tackle Jason Peters (ankle sprain) returned in a limited role. Cornerback Duke Shelley (heel) did not practice.

The Bears (5-10) host the Giants (4-11) on Sunday at Soldier Field, with kickoff set for noon.
