LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) — The Bears selected Maryland linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II at No. 132 overall in the fourth round of the NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.
Hyppolite made 46 starts over five seasons at Maryland. He had 66 combined tackles last season.
Hyppolite will give the Bears depth at the linebacker position. He projects to play a reserve role on defense and fill a role on special teams while developing under the watch of a new coaching staff.
On Saturday, the Bears traded back from No. 109 overall in the fourth round in a deal with the Bills that sent Chicago picks No. 132 and No. 169.
