Bears sign cornerback Nick McCloud to a 1-year deal

(670 The Score) The Bears have signed veteran cornerback Nick McCloud to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.

McCloud, 26, has played four NFL seasons. He has played in 48 career games and made 16 starts while primarily playing a role on special teams.

McCloud broke into the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame. He played his rookie season in 2021 with the Bengals, then parts of three seasons with the Giants. He was signed by the 49ers last November.

McCloud gives the Bears depth at the cornerback position and will likely be a key contributor on special teams.
